The latest trend in Japan might make you want to bite your nails.

View image on TwitterTweets of manicures and nail art designed like a variety of sushi items have gained popularity on Japanese social media, with some posts being retweeted over 10,000 times in a few days.
View image on TwitterSome of the original sushi nail photos appear to have been circulating in the Twittersphere for a few months, but the latest images posted by one user feature tuna on the thumb, shrimp on the index finger, salmon roe on the middle finger, salmon on the ring finger and egg roll on the pinky.
The combination of Japan’s traditional cuisine with nail art is the latest example of the country’s interest on everything “kawaii” or “cute,” an area Japan Real Time has been visiting over the years.
