Tributes have been paid to well known businesswoman Dorothy Clark who has passed away at the age of 88.
She was a highly respected member of the Yaxley community.
Her daughter, Pamela Spencer said: “Mum’s touched so many people with her generous nature both in her private and business life.”
Mrs Clark will be remembered as the happy family woman who worked hard with her husband, Francis Clark to build up an international business.
She had been married for 49 years and for more than 35 years devoted time and energy in support of her husband developing Clark-Drain Ltd, formerly known as Clarksteel Ltd.
It started in 1963, when the couple needed a manhole cover but were astonished when they were quoted a 12 to 15 month delivery delay.
Instead of waiting, they set up their own company producing one of the first steel manhole covers.
Now the products are supplied all over Britain and exported around the world.
The firm employs more than 170 people.
